A recent survey has revealed that many office based workers would prefer to continue working from home after the lockdown has been eased even further. The repercussions of coronavirus are going to influence how and where people choose to work with a large percentage only wanting to go to the office once or twice a week. Over three-quarters of those surveyed thought it will be important for employers to offer staff the option of working from home.
The huge advances in communications and technology make remote and home working practical realities for both employees and businesses: many office based companies are considering downsizing their office requirements or relocating as working from home is set to become the rule rather than the exception for millions of workers.
The survey highlights that working from home does not seem to be having a notable negative impact on the standard of work produced. Companies must adapt to having more remote and less office based staff.
